Welcome !
The Architectus Open Educational Resource is now available HERE
You can find, view, download and study contemporary UK architecture from an architects or built environment perspective. Anyone can freely discover high resolution, original architectural drawings, plans, sketches, diagrams, measurements, photographs and other primary sourced materials relating to a cross-section of ‘real’ contemporary UK architectural examples. These resources can be freely re-used and re-purposed for learning, teaching and research. The web site includes learning packages to help teachers and students engage Architectus Resources in more meaningful ways – with lots of directed learning activities for independent or group study.
New Contributors, especially Architectural Practices with Drawings to offer for educational re-use are most welcome. Please contact beverley.cole@bcu.ac.uk any time, write a Comment and Like us on Facebook !
All Architectus OER resources and Learning Packages are available for free under a © Creative Commons Attribution, Non-Commercial Share Alike 3.0 Licence
Out of interest, will any of the outputs of the project be openly licensed? Look forward to seeing how this develops!
Hi Jonathan
Apologies for slight delay in getting back to you. We are actually still uploading the content – around 5000 assets in total from over 30 different projects from various commercial acrhtiectural practices. Plus the RIBA West Midlands archive.
All content is licensed under a Creative Commons: CC-BY-NC-SA 3.0 License. So do not worry about re-using or re-purposing as long as it isn’t for a commercial purpose!
The site is about to have a face lift too. By September we hope to have all the assets available and by Christmas some topic-based generic learning packages developed by BCU and UWE. So please keep looking!
All best, Bev

Hi there, just wondering if there’s any update as to when the content will be uploaded?
Hi Marcus
Content is up! We are currently adding new filters though. Hope to do a new guide and some promotion soon on this. I have just finished enabling the extra archives filters – so you can search by format and stage like the Practices.
Hope you keep checking the site over the next month.
All best, Bev
